In July 2013 Wandsworth Council’s planning committee resolved to grant consent for the redevelopment of the historic Brewery site in Wandsworth.
Greenland Investment purchased the site in June 2014 from Minerva.
Greenland is one of China’s leading development companies with projects in 80 Chinese cities. We have begun to expand investment worldwide including acquiring two high-profile London development sites, the Ram Quarter and another site by Canary Wharf.
As newcomers to London, we understand the value of local knowledge and have therefore reappointed the majority of the professional consultancy team who achieved the planning consent for Minerva to allow us to focus our attention on delivering this fantastic project without delay.
The development will deliver:
661 new homes to the borough
36 storey landmark residential tower designed by EPR architects
9,500 sq. m of space dedicated to new shops, cafes, bars and restaurants
around 200 car parking spaces
The development will preserve many of the site’s historic buildings which will be restored and refurbished. A microbrewery and a brewing museum will also be part of the completed scheme.
The development will generate around 500 new permanent jobs and 350 construction jobs. The River Wandle will be opened up and landscaped to provide public access along a new riverside walk.
